There are four ways you can donate to the Habitat Curtain Bank.

1. Donate your time

Whatever your experience, stage of life, skill-set or passion, there is a place for you here.

The Curtain Bank requires a range of skills from experienced seamstresses to drivers, administrators and marketing geniuses.

2. Make a financial donation

Your tax deductible donation of any size, helps ensure low income families can receive essential curtains free of charge.

3. Donate your pre-loved curtains

Habitat Curtain Bank upcycles good quality curtains and fabric material donated by the public and businesses to suit the specific needs of each home.

For us, good condition curtains means free of mould, clean and with regular wear. We would also love any spare lining as well as fabric rolls or large offcuts of fabric.

Donating curtains is simple.

The Habitat Curtain bank has a number of drop off points throughout the city that will accept pre-loved curtains on our behalf. For a full list please click here.

4. Donate to Habitat ReStore

Habitat for Humanity runs a chain of charity shops called ReStore throughout Auckland. All proceeds go to support the work of Habitat. Click here for our ReStore locations.

My house has been cold all winter and having proper curtains means we’ll be warm this winter and many winters to come. Curtains are so expensive so getting free curtains means having a healthy home for me and my three kids.
